Guizhou South Dairy takes measures to ensure food safety

Guizhou South Dairy Co outlined its food safety management practices at the main event of the 2026 Guizhou Food Safety Publicity Week on Oct 13, highlighting its efforts in milk sourcing, production control, testing and inspection, and product traceability.

The company relies on its own standardized ecological dairy farms to monitor the entire process, from cattle breeding and raw milk collection to storage and transportation and incoming milk inspection. Its raw milk samples have achieved a 100 percent pass rate in annual inspections.

During production, the company implements a three-tier inspection system covering incoming raw materials, in-process checks, and final product inspections. It also conducts routine monitoring of production environments and uses automated controls for key processes to ensure standardized operations and traceable production parameters. The company has reported no systemic or regional food safety risks over the years.

For testing and inspection, the company has established 36 food safety management systems and identified more than 100 risk control points across the production process. Equipped with advanced instruments such as gas chromatographs, it can independently conduct more than 20 types of tests, including nutritional analyses.

The company has also adopted a laboratory information management system, a product traceability platform using unique QR codes, and a cold-chain temperature monitoring and early-warning system that maintains temperatures between 2-6 C throughout transportation. These measures improve testing efficiency and product traceability while strengthening risk management during dairy storage and transportation.
