Luo Tao, a recent university graduate who has just started a job in Guiyang, moved into a one-bedroom apartment at the Zhuchao Apartment's Luchongguan branch on Sept 19, saying, "The location, environment, and rent are all great. It takes just over 10 minutes to walk to work."

The apartment complex, converted from an old student dormitory that had been vacant for years, now offers 273 units, with more than 100 made available at the initial opening.
Each apartment is about 39 square meters and comes furnished with a bed, wardrobe, sofa, and kitchen cabinets, plus appliances including a refrigerator, air conditioner, water heater, and cooker. The complex also has a gym, study room, and board game room, along with dedicated property services from 7 am to 7 pm.

Located on Nanya Road in Yunyan district, the complex is close to Nanya Road Station on Metro Line 1 and a Luchongguan BRT stop, with nearby supermarkets, restaurants, and other amenities.
Rent starts at 790 yuan ($118) per month, with a 50 percent discount for the first month, plus other eligible rental discounts. Qualified young people can apply for accommodation, while eligible recent graduates can also receive Guiyang's talent rental subsidy of 200 to 800 yuan per month for up to 18 months.
"These discounts have genuinely eased the pressure of renting for recent graduates like us," said Yuan Yi, another recent graduate.
