Guiyang SOE's project adds 60 MW of clean energy capacity

The first six wind turbines of the 60-megawatt Dianshan Wind Power Project in Guiyang's Baiyun district, developed and invested in by State-owned Guiyang Mineral Energy Investment Group Co, began grid-connected power generation on Aug 30, bringing the project into full-scale trial operation.

Located in Maijia and Shaven towns, the project has a total installed capacity of 60 MW and a total investment of approximately 320 million yuan ($47.71 million), and comprises eight 6.25-MW wind turbines and two 5-MW units.

The project is expected to generate about 110 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually and save approximately 34,000 metric tons of standard coal each year, while reducing emissions of carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and particulate matter by about 280,000 metric tons annually.

The project will further enhance Guiyang's clean energy supply capacity, and inject new momentum into green, low-carbon development and high-quality economic and social growth.

Throughout construction and grid connection, the project has followed requirements for green construction, workplace safety, and ecological protection, completing key tasks including construction, equipment commissioning, and grid-connection acceptance.
