Guiyang Medicinal Plant Garden Development Co, a subsidiary of the State-owned Guiyang Infrastructure Construction & Investment Group, has been focused on seed and seedling cultivation, facility upgrades, and developing products featuring food and medicinal ingredients at the Guiyang Medicinal Plant Garden.
In the first half of this year, the garden cultivated more than 80,000 seedlings of various types, renovated facilities, replanted lotus flowers, enhanced floral landscaping, and improved the overall environment.

The company has launched a range of activities, including a sports and cultural carnival, a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Culture Service Month featuring educational activities, and a "TCM + Cherry Blossom Season" garden fair, creating new attractions for cultural and tourism consumption.
"We have introduced special tourism products, including educational study tours, outdoor barbecues, and local tea experiences, through group-buying packages on Douyin. One livestream attracted more than 3,000 views in a single day," said Shao Song, head of the Guiyang Medicinal Plant Garden Development Co. The new offerings have proven popular, with the garden often fully booked on weekends and attracting visitors from outside Guiyang seeking a cool summer getaway.
A tourist surnamed Li from Chongqing recently visited the garden for the second consecutive weekend to escape the summer heat and enjoy local food, saying, "It's so cool sitting among the trees that even having a barbecue doesn't feel hot. Having tea with my family is also very relaxing."
