Guiyang enhances parking services for summer visitors

As Guiyang's pleasant summer weather persists, the city is experiencing its busiest tourism period, resulting in a significant rise in visitors and vehicles. To accommodate this influx, the State-owned Guiyang Smart City Operation and Development Group has enhanced its parking facilities and services, ensuring safety and convenience for both residents and tourists.

Before the summer travel peak, the company inspected 29 parking lots and 107 roadside parking areas. The work included clearing drainage systems in underground garages, replenishing flood-control supplies, inspecting electrical and fire safety equipment, maintaining EV charging stations, as well as upgrading parking signs, pricing displays, and smart parking systems to ensure smooth operations.

To handle the growing traffic volume, the company has introduced a 24-hour customer service system linked to on-site support teams. Additional staff members have been deployed at busy parking locations to guide vehicles, helping drivers resolve parking-related issues quickly and efficiently.

Parking services have also been further improved through standardized service procedures, providing support and discounts for healthcare workers, overnight parking subscribers, visitors with special needs, and summer tourists.
