Liao Sha, a deputy to the National People's Congress recounted some of the stories related to the No 252 "Huinong" special bus line at the national two sessions earlier this year.

Taiwan singer Kenji Wu experienced taking the bus at 5 am one day and conducted an online livestreaming to assist in the sale of agricultural products, which attracted attention from both sides of the Taiwan Strait and received widespread praise across the internet.

Meanwhile, the African region production team of China Media Group (CGTN) conducted interviews on bus line 252 on March 15.

Guiyang Public Transport Co focuses on issues related to people's livelihoods and has launched a series of special lines to benefit farmers and the public. On Jan 1, the "Huinong" special line was launched in Laping village, helping farmers along the route to reach the Dachengpo Market directly at a cost of just 2 yuan ($0.29) per fare.

As of March, the company has launched 41 "Huinong" and "Huimin" (benefiting the public) special bus lines, covering a number of villages and towns in the suburbs of Guiyang city. The service has reached 780,000 passengers and transported about 1,800 metric tons of agricultural products such as fruits and vegetables.

Sun Lin, chairman of Guiyang Public Transport Co, said the company aims this year to launch more than 10 "Huinong" and "Huimin" special bus lines.
