The base has entered the critical stage for chili harvesting and market supply. Technicians are guiding farmers in field management tasks such as bud thinning, weeding, water and fertilizer control, and eco-friendly pest management, ensuring high-quality produce, stable yields, and a continuous supply of vegetables to the Guiyang market.
As a core part of the 50,000-mu (3,333 hectares) vegetable supply base in Luodian county for Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area, the site employs an efficient cultivation model featuring multiple cropping cycles per year, facility-based production, and staggered market release. It focuses on high-demand winter vegetables such as chili peppers, eggplants, and tomatoes.
Through staggered harvesting and sales, the base helps stabilize winter and spring vegetable supplies in Guiyang and Gui'an, as well as surrounding areas.
In 2026, the base completed the standardized cultivation of 400 mu of winter facility vegetables, with an estimated annual output exceeding 1,600 metric tons and an output value of over 10 million yuan ($1.46 million), boosting farmers' incomes and supporting rural vitalization.
