Guiyang Industry and Commerce Elderly Care Investment and Development Co, based in Guiyang, is a wholly State-owned enterprise funded by the Guiyang State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and managed by Guiyang Industrial Development Holding Group.
With a registered capital of 120 million yuan ($17.25 million) and total assets exceeding 3 billion yuan, the company owns more than 800 rentable properties with a total managed area of 230,000 square meters, laying a solid foundation for the development of the elderly care and wellness industry.
Since the end of 2020, the company has pursued a development strategy centered on revitalizing existing property assets and transitioning toward the elderly care sector. It has built a diversified elderly care service system that combines institutional care, community-based services, home-based care, and medical nursing.
The company currently manages and operates a number of comprehensive medical-nursing integrated elderly care institutions, including Kuangshanyuan, Baoshanyuan, and Yingpan Road Care Center, and provides elderly care services at more than 20 community service stations across Guiyang.

Alongside the company's high-quality development, occupancy at its elderly care institutions has seen rapid growth from just three residents at the end of 2021 to 530 residents by 2025. Satisfaction among seniors and their families has also exceeded 98 percent.
In May 2024, the company introduced high-quality teaching resources from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to cultivate a professional caregiving workforce. In October of the same year, its Kuangshanyuan facility received Gold Label certification from the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities for assisted living services, becoming the first elderly care institution in Southwest China to earn this distinction. From June to July 2025, the company organized a number of employee skills competitions to further enhance its service capabilities.
This year, the company plans to build a home-based age-friendly product experience store. Through scenario-based experiences and full-chain services, it aims to promote the large-scale and standardized development of age-friendly products. "Within one to two years, we plan to establish one physical store, one online shopping platform, and multiple community elderly care service outlets," said Bie Chuanfu, the company's deputy general manager.
Products will span daily necessities, health and nursing products, smart devices, assistive equipment, agricultural products, health supplements, cultural and recreational items, and anti-aging products. The online platform will offer user-friendly operations, comprehensive categories, and precise services.
The physical store will recreate real-life living scenarios, with immersive experience zones simulating living rooms, bedrooms, and bathrooms. These spaces will feature smart nursing beds, vital sign monitoring systems and fall-prevention alarms. Product display areas will showcase age-friendly daily-use items, home furnishings, rehabilitation aids, smart terminals, wearable devices, and exoskeleton robots.
A rental and sales service area will provide one-stop services from product selection and installation to after-sales support, with rental options available for certain high-cost assistive devices. A wellness and rehabilitation area will also offer free health services such as traditional Chinese medicine foot baths and health education.
