State-owned Guiyang Public Transport Co and SF Express Guizhou Co signed a cooperation framework agreement to explore a new model of integrating urban public transport with modern logistics on Oct 17.
The partnership focuses on four areas, including stations, transport capacity, manpower, and application scenarios, to achieve resource sharing and coordinated development.
In terms of manpower collaboration, Guiyang Public Transport will, while ensuring safe bus operations, assign trained employees to participate in SF Express's last-mile delivery services. The company will also undertake sorting, delivery, and warehousing tasks for SF Express Guizhou Co to make full use of its human resources and ease delivery pressures during peak seasons.
For transport cooperation, Guiyang Public Transport plans to deploy autonomous buses or partner-operated unmanned vehicles for express delivery, offering charging, emergency, and incident-handling services. Together, the two sides aim to build a "Green City Delivery" model that combines express logistics with public transport to promote low-carbon urban logistics.
Under the station-sharing plan, suitable bus depots will be made available for SF Express as sorting centers, distribution hubs, or delivery stations. Both sides will also share charging and battery-swapping facilities to support the efficient operation of SF's new energy vehicle.
In addition, the partners will expand cooperation in business scenarios. SF Express will offer discounted delivery and procurement services to Guiyang Public Transport, while the bus company will provide preferential shuttle and advertising services to SF Express, fostering mutual benefits and win-win development.
