Talent aids in Guizhou Tyre's digital transformation

"I came to work in Guiyang in September 2019. My previous company had business ties with Guizhou Tyre Co, and I learned that the company was planning a major push toward digital transformation. That presented a great career opportunity for me," said Han Hongchuan, director of the Information Technology Department at Guizhou Tyre Co.

In 2019, Han was recruited by State-owned Guizhou Tyre Co as a specialized professional in information management.

In recent years, Han led the formulation of Guizhou Tyre's digital transformation and upgrading strategy, playing a pivotal role in the successful implementation of smart upgrades at Phases I and II of the Zhazuo Base in Guiyang, as well as the intelligent projects for Phases III and IV at the Zhazuo Base and the company's base in Vietnam.

He also oversaw the comprehensive construction of Guizhou Tyre's "Lighthouse Factory", spearheading innovation in intelligent manufacturing and green, low-carbon development. Under his leadership, the team has tackled numerous technical challenges in the IT field.

In January 2025, Guizhou Tyre's "Lighthouse Factory" passed the expert review by the World Economic Forum, earning the highest global recognition for digital and intelligent manufacturing and becoming the first "Lighthouse Factory" in China's tire industry.

Han said that in the coming years, Guizhou Tyre will continue to deepen the integration of digital and AI technologies into its operations to enhance the customer experience, reduce unit costs, and strengthen the company's competitiveness.
