State-owned fungus stick factory sees production boom

The fungus stick factory operated by the Congjiang branch of State-owned Guiyang Vegetable Basket Group Co is running at full capacity as spring planting began.

With a focus on black fungus cultivation, the factory uses a "liquid strain + digital management" model to build a comprehensive technological edge across the entire production chain. Its goal is to establish an integrated industry system that covers fungus stick production, base planting, deep processing, and market distribution.

Inside the factory's production workshop, rows of fungus sticks steadily roll off the line. Luo Tingqing, head of the Congjiang branch, said, "We began production on Jan 1 this year and currently produce about 60,000 sticks per day. We expect an annual output of 17 million sticks, with an estimated output value exceeding 26 million yuan ($3.6 million)."

The Congjiang factory is more than just a manufacturing base; it is a vital link in the Guiyang Vegetable Basket Group Co's transformation in the edible fungi industry.

As the factory expands, the company's edible fungi sector steadily evolves toward a more large-scale and industrialized development model, laying the foundation for high-quality regional growth.
