In recent years, the State-owned Guiyang Agricultural Investment Group (GAIG) has developed its egg-laying hen industry in Luodian county, Guiyang. Using digital technology to drive technological and industrial integration, GAIG has improved poultry farming's scientific and standardized management.

A fully enclosed and intelligent farming model has been implemented at the standardized egg-laying hen breeding base in Bianyang town, Luodian county. The base achieves full process automation, from feed distribution and environmental control to egg collection and sorting. Using mechanized operations effectively addresses the challenges of traditional poultry farming's low efficiency and high costs.
An advanced digital management system enables precise monitoring of each hen's growth status and egg production through big data analysis. This system ensures refined management throughout the breeding process. The farm has also introduced advanced disease prevention and control technologies to safeguard the chickens' health.
The base is equipped with a complete feed production system that processes local corn and other raw materials to ensure high-quality eggs. This initiative promotes large-scale, standardized, and ecological poultry farming.
"By applying central control systems, we achieve automated lighting, temperature regulation, water supply, and feeding," said Zheng Qunling, technical director of Guizhou Luodian Qianhu Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Co, a GAIG subsidiary. "Compared to conventional farming methods, our production capacity has significantly increased."
Automatic equipment ensures rapid and precise gathering in collection and sorting. The intelligent sorting system eliminates defects, while high-quality eggs are classified based on size and weight before being packaged and distributed to markets in Guangdong, Guangxi, Shanghai, and surrounding areas.

The base houses 464,000 laying hens and 79,600 chicks, with an annual egg production of 1,148 metric tons. It is expected to reach approximately 6,500 tons of egg production this year.
GAIG will continue to use its resource advantages and explore specialty industries, injecting new economic vitality into Luodian county's rural vitalization efforts.
