State-owned Xianfeng in Guiyang expands global markets

On Feb 17, a computer numerically controlled (CNC) roll grinder entered the assembly stage at the State-owned Guiyang Xianfeng Machine Tool Co's production workshop. Once it passes inspection, it will be delivered to an Indian metal packaging company.

"In 2024, we secured our first order from India. The machine model is relatively small but requires extremely high precision, and our products fully meet the client's requirements," said Yin Kaiqi, general manager of Xianfeng's Marketing Center. In September 2023, the Indian company signed a 3.2-million-yuan ($439,560) contract with Xianfeng.

Xianfeng also has long-standing partnerships with Tosyali, a steel manufacturer in Turkiye. "Since 2008, Tosyali has purchased more than 10 CNC roll grinders from us. In March this year, two more machines will be delivered," Yin added.

Since 2020, Xianfeng has continuously grown its overseas markets. In 2024, international orders accounted for 10 percent of the company's total output value, with products exported to Algeria, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and other regions.

In 2025, Xianfeng expects a breakthrough in overseas orders, with exports surpassing 20 percent of total production. The company has expanded into India, Vietnam, Tanzania, and the European Union.

As a key State-owned enterprise in China's machine tool industry and a national high-tech enterprise, Xianfeng has grown into a leading manufacturer of high-end CNC precision grinders, capable of independent design, R&D, and full-process production.

Guiyang Xianfeng allocates 6 percent of its total annual output value to R&D and collaborates with Huazhong CNC, Tsinghua University, and Guizhou University on technological innovation. With cutting-edge technology and superior quality, the company has earned widespread recognition from European clients.
