Wang Hong, mayor of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, inspected the resumption of work and production for the Guiyang State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) and its regulated State-owned enterprises (SOEs) on Feb 11.

He emphasized the need for SOEs to better fulfill their new responsibilities and missions by deepening reforms.
Wang toured the offices of Guiyang SASAC, Guiyang Industrial Development Holding Group, Guiyang Infrastructure Construction & Investment Group Co, and Guiyang Public Transportation Group. He engaged with frontline officials and employees, expressing gratitude for their hard work and contributions to the economic and social development of Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area over the past year.

A symposium, attended by relevant government departments and enterprise leaders, was held on the same day. Wang listened to reports on their work and fully acknowledged the achievements made over the past year.
He stressed that Guiyang SASAC and its regulated SOEs must strengthen their core competitiveness, deepen reform and innovation, enhance profitability, advance transformation toward a more market-oriented approach, improve internal management, foster a progressive corporate culture, and implement reforms lawfully and scientifically.
