State-owned Guiyang Public Transport Co has been focusing on developing a more efficient bus system with flexible routes, aiming to enhance the quality and level of its services.
In the first half of the year, the company adjusted 34 routes based on passenger flow and travel patterns, with a total passenger volume of nearly 140 million. Among the route changes was the upgraded Route 252 Special Line for vegetable farmers, which stops at only four stations where most farmers live, enabling them to reach markets faster.

Enhanced transportation services were offered during the Guiyang Marathon, temporarily adjusting 52 routes, launching 18 direct lines, and preparing 131 buses at railway stations and airports for point-to-point transportation. In June, extra transportation services were also provided for JJ Lin and Zhou Shen's Guiyang concerts.

The company has introduced customized bus services tailored to residents' needs, including cross-district express routes, corporate shuttles, and tourism lines. Some new express routes connect Yunyan, Nanming, Wudang, and Guanshanhu districts to Gui'an New Area, located far from Guiyang's urban area. It also provides weekend night routes to Gui'an's Digital Economy Industrial Park and the Gui'an Temporary Administrative Center to facilitate late-night commutes for people working overtime.
The company has launched 35 customized bus lines in Gui'an to meet the transportation needs of over 2,000 employees and students from local businesses and institutions.
