State-owned Guizhou Guilyu New Materials Co and Guizhou University – both located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – recently held a university-enterprise cooperation meeting, during which they officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
The aim of their collaboration is to share resources, jointly promote technological innovation and talent cultivation, and support mutual development.
At the meeting, Zhu Yucai, chairman of Guizhou Guilyu New Materials Co, emphasized his desire to strengthen cooperation with the university in the future. This partnership aims to improve product quality while also exploring new models of industry-academia integration to enhance the company's core competitiveness.
Liu Qibin, dean of the School of Materials and Metallurgy at Guizhou University, noted that Guilyu New Materials, as a leading enterprise in aluminum deep processing and aluminum-based new materials in Guizhou province, has broad prospects for collaboration. He expressed hope that both parties would promote industry-academia joint training, meet the technical needs of the enterprise, and facilitate the transformation of university research into practical applications.
During the meeting, the university and the enterprise engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as cooperation models, research and development directions, and talent cultivation, reaching a consensus on their collaboration. Following the discussions, both parties signed the strategic cooperation agreement and awarded expert appointment letters to Professors Li Wei, Yang Ming, Jiang Yun, and Long Shaolei.
