Guiyang SOE builds psychological care center for elderly

The Elderly Psychological Care Center of State-owned Guiyang Industrial and Commercial Health Industry Investment Development Co was inaugurated and put into operation on April 28.

It is currently the largest and most fully equipped psychological counseling care center among elderly care institutions in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area.

This center was jointly established by the company, Guiyang Healthcare Vocational University, and the 925th Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Joint Logistics Support Force.

Covering an area of 130 square meters, the center is equipped with a reception area, a reading area, a group counseling area, counseling rooms, venting rooms, and sand-play rooms. It currently employs eight full-time psychological counselors.

The group counseling area primarily helps clients engage in group activities.

The venting room is equipped with equipment such as a venting wall and other interactive psychological venting devices, allowing clients to release emotions through methods such as hitting and diverting attention.

Additionally, the sand-play room is a specialized facility for psychological health and therapy, improving clients' creativity and imagination.
