In recent years, the State-owned Guiyang Water Environment Group Co in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has attached great importance to talent training.
The group has effectively expanded channels for the development of professional skills in the province's water industry, and has continuously improved the level of professionalism and specialization of skilled talents.
In 2022, the group, together with more than 80 water enterprises in the province, jointly established the "Guizhou Province Water Enterprise Talent Training Platform".
This platform can carry out vocational skills training and certification for 15 industry-related occupations at five levels, including water production and treatment workers, chemical inspectors, pipe workers, fitters, and electrical equipment maintenance personnel. It is also approved to issue vocational skill level certificates to people who have completed training. These certificates can be queried on the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security website. To date, 200 people have been certified.
On March 12, the first phase of vocational skills training for water enterprise personnel in 2024 took place at Guizhou Industry Polytechnic College.
This training, hosted by Guiyang Water Environment Group Co, is a 16-day vocational skill training program that was created specifically for water production and treatment workers and chemical inspectors. A total of 111 people from the province's water industry participated in this event.
The training was divided into theoretical and practical courses, covering more than 20 subjects, including water quality analysis, water quality testing, and water treatment processes.
Next, the group will lead its technical experts to collaborate with colleges in order to improve the quality and effectiveness of vocational training.
