State-owned Guizhou Tyre Co, located in Guiyang city, recently announced that it is actively contributing to the Belt and Road Initiative. The company will partner with the Guizhou University of Finance and Economics and the Technological University of Uruguay (UTEC) to jointly establish a Confucius Institute at UTEC.
Recently, the three parties held a meeting in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, where they jointly passed the decision to cooperate in establishing a Confucius Institute at the UTEC.
The three parties reached some consensus. Guizhou Tyre will provide scholarships to support students from Uruguay to study at the Confucius Institute. During their studies at the Confucius Institute, Uruguayan students will participate in a student exchange at Guizhou University of Finance and Economics. They will receive a certain living allowance during their exchange period and will also be invited to visit and learn about Guizhou Tyre's production base.
During the collaboration, Guizhou Tyre will selectively hire students recommended by the Confucius Institute to work at Guizhou Tyre's local subsidiaries or offices in Uruguay. This will not only provide Guizhou Tyre with qualified international talents, but also strengthen language and cultural exchanges between China and Uruguay, thus enhancing the friendship between the two nations.
Additionally, this collaboration will also help Guizhou Tyre expand into the Uruguayan and South American markets, enhancing the visibility and recognition of Guizhou Tyre's products in Uruguay and the wider South American region.
