State-owned Guiyang Public Transport Group announced that this year, it will develop an open public transport system that establishes mechanisms for consultation and collaboration in order to meet the needs of residents.
According to relevant work arrangements, Guiyang Public Transport will conduct in-depth research and address the travel needs of the public, thus continuously improving its service quality.
Each operating unit of Guiyang Public Transport will establish a mechanism for consultation and consensus-building regarding routes, fares, frequency, and other operational organization services. Through this, they will regularly solicit opinions from the government, communities, enterprises, schools, and residents.
Guiyang Public Transport will use market share, resident satisfaction, and service efficiency as evaluation standards for this project. It will also establish an open public transport evaluation index system and methods to ensure that evaluation results align with the genuine needs of residents.
Additionally, the group will innovate in the development of open public transport resources. The group will make full use of existing operation sites for future development, constructing facilities such as charging stations, supermarkets, time-shared parking, parcel collection and delivery, shared electric vehicles, catering, and tourism services. Subsequently, the profits from these operations will be used to support the sustainable development of the local public transport sector.
By restructuring the public transport service system for the entire urban area, the group will be able to establish a healthy, stable, and sustainable modern open urban public transportation operation and management system.
