In the instrument production workshop of State-owned Guiyang Yongqing Intelligent Control Technology Co on Feb 23, four fully automated Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lead-free production lines were operating at full capacity.
"Through continuous innovation and R&D, the company's main products have expanded from traditional engineering machinery to a series of products, such as smart distribution and automation control systems," said Wu Zhengkai, head of the information technology department at Yongqing.
It is understood that the company has achieved digitalization and intelligent operations in aspects such as order acquisition, production and R&D, production management, and sales services. The company's output value surpassed 400 million yuan ($55.56 million) in 2023.
The use of SMT lead-free production lines and automated testing and assembly production lines for instruments is one of the company's important initiatives to build a smart factory.
Compared to traditional production lines, this production line is fully integrated with the factory's Manufacturing Execution System (MES), enabling the real-time transmission of production processes and production exception information. The company's production status can be viewed in real-time on the system monitoring screen, allowing timely identification and resolution of issues.
The "intelligence" of the smart factory is also fully reflected in its warehouse material management.
All commonly used materials are stored in the warehouse, with each material box clearly labeled with a name, number, and QR code. To retrieve a specific material, the warehouse personnel simply need to search on the system, and the corresponding material box will automatically pop out. Subsequently, AGV (Automatic Guided Vehicle) intelligent logistics vehicles and intelligent logistics robots will transport the materials according to the order instructions.
In addition, at the end of last year, the company launched an enterprise data management cockpit, establishing a digitalized management and application platform for the enterprise. This enables digital analysis and decision-making, while also fully promoting the creation of a future smart factory.
