The State-owned Guiyang Industrial and Commercial Healthcare Industry Investment and Development Co inaugurated its senior entertainment and wellness center on Feb 24.
The center is open to the public, and features various professional classrooms, such as painting and calligraphy rooms, dance studios, and vocal rooms. It offers senior citizens a diverse range of activities that revolve around learning, entertainment and travel.
Xue Renzheng, chairman of the company, stated that this move signifies the company's successful entry into the entertainment and wellness field, laying the foundation for the advancement of the company's initiative to establish a senior university in the future.
Since its establishment three years ago, the company has set up and operates eight elderly care branches and manages two general hospitals. These facilities boast 1000 professional nursing beds, and can accommodate nearly 400 elderly residents.
The company is the largest professional elderly care institution in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province. It aims to drive the transformation and development of the elderly care industry in State-owned enterprises in Guizhou province.
