Guiyang SOE to accelerate medical, elderly care projects

An integrated medical rehabilitation construction project in Guiyang is currently being carried out. The project – driven by Guiyang Health Investment Co, a subsidiary of State-owned Guiyang Infrastructure Construction & Investment Group Co – involves an investment of 300 million yuan ($42.09 million) and is scheduled for completion in 2024.

It includes four rehabilitation centers, including the Xinshijie Community Rehabilitation Center and Lewan International Rehabilitation Center, as well as three community health service centers, such as Xinshijie Social Health Center – aiming to establish a three-tier elderly care system incorporating institutional care, community care, and home-based care in Guiyang.

The Xinshijie Social Health Center was put into operation at the end of 2022, providing convenient medical services to residents. Other sub-projects are currently under construction, with the Lewan International Rehabilitation Center expected to open in February 2024.

Upon completion, the project will offer over 1,000 elderly care and rehabilitation beds, create approximately 1,000 jobs, enhance the distribution of basic medical and health resources, and provide comprehensive medical services to local residents.

Guiyang Health Investment Co also planned to collaborate and invest to attract professional talent in the field of elderly care, achieving market-oriented, specialized, and efficient operation, thereby supporting the development of the "Guiyang Health Care" brand.
