An exchange meeting on graduate recruitment was held in Guiyang City and Guian New Area on Sept 26, aimed at ensuring high-quality employment opportunities for graduates.
The Guiyang State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) arranged for key representatives from municipal State-owned enterprises to participate in the meeting, along with two prominent colleges, namely the Qiannan Medical College for Nationalities and the Qiannan Polytechnic College for Nationalities.
During the meeting, State-owned enterprises presented an overview of graduate recruitment and outlined their future plans. The two colleges provided a concise overview of the graduate programs they offer and the employment demands in their respective fields.
Extensive discussions were conducted on ways to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry to further enhance employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for graduates in Guiyang City and Guian New Area.
Through this exchange, both parties gained a clearer understanding of the challenges faced by graduates from these colleges. The Guiyang SASAC expressed its commitment to optimizing job positions and salary packages to enhance the attractiveness of employment opportunities in Guiyang City and Guian New Area, with the goal of attracting more graduates to the two regions for work. The two colleges also pledged to strengthen their efforts to provide employment guidance and enhance graduates' adaptability in the workplace.
Finally, both parties proposed next steps, including early planning for the recruitment of graduates from the classes of 2024 and 2025 tailored to academic programs and job market demands.
They also emphasized the importance of collecting information on graduates to better understand their employment needs and preferences, as well as promoting employment policies to foster high-quality and comprehensive job opportunities.
