Guanshanhu district, SOE to build ecological food industrial park

Guanshanhu district government in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, and State-owned Guiyang Industrial Investment Co have signed an investment agreement to jointly build an ecological food industrial park integrating research and development, production, processing, exhibition, storage, and after-sales.

Focusing on the industrial demand of "electronic information manufacturing as the leading industry and ecological characteristic food as the characteristic industry" in Guanshanhu district, the district and the company signed the project, which is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2025.

Dubbed "the food science and technology research and development center and supporting industrial park, and the second phase of Jinli Food Industry Park", it is based on a total investment of about 1.59 billion yuan ($218.57 million).

The food industry component mainly includes pre-prepared dishes, cold chains, condiments, and snacks. Supporting industries include academic exchange and training centers, e-commerce platforms, quarantine centers, and testing centers.

In the first half of this year, the company saw its total assets climb to 44.41 billion yuan, with revenue reaching 6.55 billion yuan, and total profit hitting 550 million yuan. The profit level matched the annual target.

Taking the new pact as an opportunity, the government and the company will jointly create a new benchmark in this field. Guiyang Industrial Investment Co will continue to promote development of industry, capital and projects, as well as contribute to the high-quality development of Guiyang.
