More than 100 excellent college graduates from famous universities across the country started their internship experience as management trainees at State-owned Guiyang Industrial Investment Co on July 22.
After two rounds of restructuring in 2019 and 2022, the company has posted solid results in terms of reform and development, but problems such as aging talents and a scarcity of high-level professionals armed with the necessary skills and experience remain a nagging concern.
To this end, the Management Trainee Program was launched by the company in March to attract high-caliber graduates. The company's industrial talent company recruited more than 120 management trainees from more than 7,000 applicants in colleges and universities across the country.
According to the training plan, they will enter affiliated enterprises under Guiyang Industrial Investment Co after training and rotation, and will be equipped with mentors.
At present, the mentors cover the production, operation, management and other technical positions of enterprises, which will improve the efficiency of the practical training, so that the management trainees can find their own positions, and promote the retention of talents.
According to the plan, the company will attract 100 to 150 outstanding college graduates every year for five consecutive years to promote the convergence of talents in Guiyang and promote the high-quality development of enterprises based there.
