On July 11, the Guiyang State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) held a scheduling meeting to ensure the payment of migrant workers' wages, and coordinated the special work of the commission's system to eradicate the practice of back pay.
Enterprises supervised by the commission reported in detail on the current work, and the meeting made deployments to resolve the problem of unpaid salaries by enterprises and implement the next step in improving the system of paying wages on time.
The commission requires that the manager of each enterprise should address and resolve the problem of unpaid salaries by removing this risk factor in line with the formulated measures, to ensure this is no longer a concern of the Guiyang SASAC.
Supervised enterprises were urged to build a network of responsible agents to ensure migrant workers are compensated in a fair and timely manner. Enterprises also should fulfill their responsibilities in terms of overcoming major risks, conduct spot checks on key projects, and strictly handle problems.
