Huimin Fresh Supermarket benefits Guiyang residents

Five branches of Huimin Fresh Supermarket under the State-owned Guiyang Agricultural Investment Group (GAIG) opened simultaneously on June 30. Up to now, Guiyang Huimin Fresh Supermarket has built a total of 173 branches, which has played a positive role in promoting the full coverage of the "15-minute life circle" – residents can access essential resources within a 15-minute walk of the residential area – in Guiyang city.

"Things here are fresh and affordable," a resident surnamed Li said smilingly while buying vegetables in the 1-yuan ($0.14) vegetable section at a branch of the Huimin Fresh Supermarket, "I often buy vegetables here, which can save some money."

It has been noted that Guiyang implemented an innovative production and marketing operation mechanism in 2015. As a result, Guiyang Huimin Livelihood Agricultural and Sideline Products Management Co (the owner of Huimin Fresh Supermarket) under GAIG has introduced a sales strategy that aims to benefit residents by making small profits.

At the Huimin Fresh Supermarket in Guiyang, the 40 varieties of agricultural and sideline products in the fresh section are priced 15 to 30 percent lower than in other average farmers' markets.

In addition to the "1-yuan vegetable section", "affordable pork sales section", and "Guizhou local agricultural products sales section" also provided more affordable, adequate, and convenient products for the public.
