Guiyang seed parks listed as national green bases

Two seed parks affiliated with State-owned Guiyang Agricultural Investment Group were recently rated as national excellent bases for promoting green and healthy aquaculture technology in 2022.

They are Guanling modern fishery seed park and Kaiyang sturgeon perch seed park, both located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Guanling seed park, which was put into trial production in 2021, covers an area of more than 1,000 mu (66.7 hectares) and is divided into six functional sections. In order to maintain a healthy ecology and environment, the park is equipped with modern tailwater treatment equipment.

Kaiyang seed park, covering an area of 80 mu, was put into operation in April 2020. It is an advanced modern fish breeding farm in the province and China as a whole.

The national promotional campaign was launched by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in 2020. The event aims to promote the green and high-quality development of the aquaculture industry in China.

The national campaign consists of the promotion of a farming model with healthy ecology, aquaculture tail water treatment model, reducing drug use in aquaculture, replacing young and miscellaneous fishes with compound feed, and improving the quality of the aquaculture seed industry.
