Guiyang official urges SOEs to reform

Nie Xuesong, director of the standing committee of the Guiyang municipal people's congress, investigated the reform of State-owned enterprises in Guiyang and Guian New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, from March 28 to 29 and on April 4.

During the three-day period, Nie conducted field research on the Northern New Building Materials Industrial Park of Guiyang Mineral Energy Investment Group Co, Guizhou Chinalco Aluminum Industry Co, Guizhou Jiangjiu Group Wine Production Co and other State-owned enterprises in Guiyang and Guian.

In meetings held during the investigation period, the municipal State-owned assets supervision and administration commission, two State-owned enterprises and other relevant government departments gave reports on the reform and reorganization of State-owned enterprises in Guiyang and Guian.

Nie urged related departments and enterprises to continuously promote the strategic restructuring and professional integration of State-owned enterprises so as to improve SOEs and effectively prevent risks.

It is also necessary to strengthen supervision and management to promote the reform of State-owned enterprises and the management of State-owned assets in order to make contributions to the high-quality economic and social development of Guiyang and Guian.
