Guilv completes its recycled aluminum project

The opening ceremony for the first production line of Guizhou Guilv New Materials Co's recycled aluminum project was held in Guiyang on March 28.

Guizhou Guilv New Materials Co (Guizhou Guilv) is a subsidiary of the State-owned Guiyang Industrial Investment Company.

The project started construction in Qingzhen county-level city in Guiyang at the end of 2021, with a total investment of 460 million yuan ($66.71 million). All three of the project's production lines are expected to be completed and put into operation within the first half of this year.

After the project's completion, it is expected to have an annual output of 150,000 tons of recycled aluminum, achieve annual sales revenue of nearly 2.7 billion yuan, and provide employment opportunities to more than 240 people.

Recycled aluminum is an aluminum product that utilizes waste materials produced in aluminum processing or recovered waste aluminum as raw materials. It is of great significance as it alleviates the constraint of national resources, reduces environmental pressure and develops the green circular economy.

After the project is completed and put into use, a circular process of "resource-product-renewable resources" will be formed in the Qingzhen aluminum industrial base to form a closed-loop green circular aluminum industrial chain.

Guizhou Guilv plans to become the leading enterprise in the aluminum deep processing and aluminum base new materials sectors, with its sales revenue reaching over 6 billion yuan by 2025. It will also make contributions to building Guiyang and Guian New Area's 100-billion-yuan aluminum industrial base, which will have significant green features.
