Dozens of workers picked Mingqian tea at a tea plantation owned by State-owned Guiyang Agricultural Investment Group near Hongfeng Lake in Qingzhen city, which is under the administration of Guiyang, capital city of southwest China's Guizhou province, on March 23.
It is reported that the tea garden covers the area of 1,200 mu (80 hectares), and features a high-quality and pollution-free tea production environment, because of its low latitude, high altitude, and near perfect precipitation.
This year's Mingqian tea harvest started on March 22 and will last until mid-April, with an estimated output of 2,500 to 3,000 kilograms.
The tea garden is also equipped with a tea processing plant that covers an area of 10,150 square meters. The plant mainly produces black tea, white tea, green tea, and oolong tea.
