State-owned enterprise vitalizes rural economy

Maodong village in Guiyang is a pilot area for the construction of a beautiful village in Southwest China's Guizhou province. In May 2021, State-owned Guiyang Industrial Development Holding began to aid in the construction of the village.

Guiyang Industrial Development Holding provided 2 million yuan ($287,082) in financial support for the village. At the same time, its subsidiary Guiyang Industrial Investment Supply Chain Management Co, along with the village, jointly funded the establishment of Guiyang Industrial Development Holding Bangfu Trading Co.

"Last year, we sold 1,200 kilograms of agricultural products from the village, and farmers' incomes increased by nearly 100,000 yuan in total," said the relevant person in charge of Bangfu Trading Co.

Guiyang Industrial Development Holding has also introduced Guizhou Chuanghe Garment Co into the village, bringing embroidery orders to women in the village.

The development of Maodong village is a microcosm of the holding's contribution to rural vitalization. More than 10 enterprises under the holding have also made full use of their advantages to explore more new paths toward rural vitalization.
