Guizhou Haike Industrial Development Co, a subsidiary of State-owned Guiyang Agricultural Investment and Development Group, has been cooperating with Guizhou University to work on the "research and initial testing of key technologies for the fertilizer applications of rosa roxburghii residue" project since 2021. The project work has progressed smoothly and will be accepted in 2023.
The main research content of the project involves the development of rosa roxburghii residue into two types of organic fertilizer.
As a result of this project, bio-organic fertilizer and biochar-based organic fertilizer have been developed. After both Haike Industrial and Guizhou University began field tests in November 2021, test products were then sent for testing and analysis.
During this project, the fertilizer was tested on cabbage and peacock cabbage, and then further studied.
The results showed that compared with more traditional chemical fertilizer, the yield of cabbage increased by 4 percent, and the yield of peacock cabbage increased by 23 percent with the application of the project's bio-organic fertilizer.
While studying the project's biochar-based organic fertilizer, results show that cabbage yields increased by 7 percent, and peacock cabbage yields increased by 36 percent.
