Water group on call 24/7 to ensure water supply

Due to low temperatures and freezing rain, on Nov 29, State-owned Guiyang Water Group launched an emergency warning system to ensure the water supply of residents during the cold wave.

The group strengthened the inspection of power supply lines, power distribution rooms, dosing rooms, booster pump stations, mechanical and electrical equipment and water supply networks of water plants.

In case of abnormal production or water supply due to cold weather, the emergency plan shall be immediately put into motion to carry out on-site emergency rescue and repair.

Each department uses the water supply dispatching platform to monitor key indicators such as water supply pressure, flow rate and flow in each region 24 hours a day. In case of abnormal pressure and flow, they can respond immediately.

Additionally, the emergency repair teams of the group's subsidiary companies have prepared enough anti-freezing supplies, such as industrial salt, anti-skid pads, and thermal insulation cotton, and are on call 24 hours a day.
