Shenzhen Port sets up inland port in Guiyang

The listing ceremony of the Guiyang Inland Port of Shenzhen's Shekou, Mawan and Chiwan Ports was held at the Guiyang International Inland Port on Sept 29, indicating that the Guiyang International Inland Port has officially become the inland port of the West Area of Shenzhen Port, an investment attraction port.

This is a further expansion of cooperation with Guizhou Railway Investment Group, a State-owned enterprise in Guiyang, and other ports on the basis of strategic cooperation with Zhanjiang Port of China Merchants Port Group Co.

The relevant person in charge of the group's Port (South China) Operation Center said that Guiyang is the 16th inland city for the extension of sea rail intermodal services in the West Area of Shenzhen Port, which will further enrich the logistics channels of Guizhou's export enterprises so that they can enjoy the functions and services of an international port.

At the same time, it will further enhance the influence of the port and accelerate the seamless connection of the West Area of Shenzhen Port and the inland ports.

The value of imports and exports of Guizhou through the Shekou, Mawan and Chiwan ports has exceeded 10 percent every year. The West Area of Shenzhen Port is currently the main port for Guizhou to export to East Asia, Australia and West Asia, serving key enterprises such as Guizhou Tyre Co, Guizhou Steel Rope Group Co and Guiyang Hisense Electronics Co for a long time.
