State-owned enterprise in Guiyang ensures provision of living necessities

The third press conference on the prevention and control of the latest outbreak of COVID-19 in Guiyang and Guian New Area was held on Sept 4. At the press conference, it was emphasized that Guiyang Agricultural Investment Group, as a State-owned enterprise, would go all out to ensure the provision of living necessities for residents.

The 50,000-mu (3,333 hectares) vegetable supply base built by Guiyang Agricultural Investment Group, linked to the city's vegetable supply base and Guizhou province's order cooperation base, can supply more than 660 metric tons of fresh vegetables such as peppers, cabbage, and radishes every day. In addition, the laying hen breeding base can provide 80 tons of eggs per day, and Guizhou Shanhua Dairy Co can supply 450 tons of milk per day.

The Guiyang Agricultural Products Logistics Park and Gufeng Grain and Oil Wholesale Market are the two core entities for ensuring adequate supplies. The current meat inventory of the Guiyang Agricultural Products Logistics Park is being maintained at about 1,168 tons per day. Meanwhile, there is a production line with a daily processing capacity of 150 tons of rice and a production line with a daily capacity of 200,000 steamed buns, providing adequate supplies for the entire city.

In particular, the group arranges more than 40 transport vehicles every day to continuously replenish more than 100 fresh food supermarkets, which are stocking four times their usual sales volume of agricultural and sideline products, and their prices are being kept at pre-pandemic levels.
