The Guiyang State-owned assets supervision and administration commission visited the Gufeng Grain, Oil and Food Wholesale Market in Guiyang – capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – in order to inspect work safety, firefighting equipment and COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control measures.

The inspection team conducted its visit on March 16 and at the entrance to the market, members checked the epidemic prevention and control measures, an emergency storage warehouse and the firefighting facilities and electrical circuits.

The team also checked rice processing and production lines, and inquired about progress made generally to facilitate safe production. At the micro fire station, they checked the management of firefighting equipment and inquired about food safety in detail.

The team said it was necessary to strengthen investigations of fire hazards, tighten up on inspections and maintenance of fire-fighting facilities and equipment, as well as improve on-duty inspections to prevent fires.

They also said it was necessary to strengthen the management and control of the market's road traffic, control the speed of vehicles and prevent traffic accidents.
