New freight service approved

China State Railway Group Co released a circular on Feb 23 allowing the special railway line of the Guiyang Gaimao railway customs surveillance area to deliver freight services starting Feb 25.

The area is a key component of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor and Guizhou's smart logistics program.

The launch of the freight service will further integrate Guiyang into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone.

Moving forward, the institute will address demand from local supply chains and build a hub for the distribution, transmission, and consolidated shipment of imports and exports.

More efforts will also be made to support the global expansion of local special industries and the globalization of industrial chains in order to further open up Guiyang.
