To cope with the peak passenger flow of various colleges and universities in Guiyang, the Bus Rapid Transit Operation Company of Guiyang Public Transport Group – a State-owned enterprise – opened lines to universities to ensure that students can return to school without issue.
Buses No 808 and No 802 stop at the platform to wait for students returning to university from Feb 26.
During the peak return time for students, the company made Guiyang North Railway Station bus hub its central base, and with the help of the intelligent bus dispatching system platform, the company made full use of the real-time passenger flow screen on the vehicle to implement line passenger flow monitoring.
According to the change in passenger flow, it makes use of an emergency dispatch method and encrypts the shifts or prolongs the running time of bus lines in a timely manner.
Bus No K802 was also officially launched on Feb 28 and was opened by the company to improve travel convenience between the Qingzhen urban area and the Guiyang urban area. When the line opens, it is expected to save 20 to 30 minutes of travel time.
Going forward, the company will continue to optimize the newly opened bus line network and improve the service quality.
