Two enterprises from the Baiyun district of Guiyang – capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – recently qualified for the 2021 green manufacturing list, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The list includes 673 green factories, 52 green industrial parks and 107 green supply chain management enterprises.
The Baiyun-based Guizhou branch of Aluminum Corporation of China Limited and Guiyang Yongqing Electric Instrument Technology Co were selected in the green factory category.
Green manufacturing is an important means to solve national resources and environmental problems – regarded as an effective way to realize the task of industrial transformation and upgrading and achieve green development.
The concept behind the "Green Factory" is a new factory model created according to the principles of "intensive land use, harmless raw materials, clean production, recycling of waste and low-carbon energy".
As an important part of the green manufacturing system, they are seen as a key way to promote structural optimization, upgrading and quality and efficiency improvements in various industries.
