The Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province has reportedly prioritized optimizing its business environment since its integrated development took place with the provincial capital city of Guiyang.
From Jan 1 to Oct 21 this year, 1,661 business entities – ranging from small traders all the way to major manufacturers – and 41.05 billion yuan ($6.43 billion) in registered capital were added in Guian. Currently, the area plays home to 23,228 business entities and 551.41 billion yuan in registered capital.
To stimulate market vitality, Guian has streamlined its administration, delegated powers and improved regulations and services. Its government service hall has set up 14 service windows to handle 1,274 various applications during the period and at the same time has reduced 627 application forms and materials.
Since the start of 2020, Guizhou has launched various policies to support Guian's high-quality development and its integrated development with nearby Guiyang. Guizhou has also delegated more than 100 administrative management affairs to Guian.
Guian is also optimizing its investment services to promote the launch and operation of projects. Last year, the development of textiles giant Hengli Group's industrial park took only 52 days to start construction after being signed – and went into pilot operations six months after breaking ground.
Plans are for Guian to provide targeted services according to an enterprise's own specific needs, as well as to save the time and financial costs of government affairs applications for enterprises and individuals.
