Guiyang companies listed as national key agricultural enterprises

Guiyang Agricultural Investment Development Co, Guizhou China-Science Agrochange Technology Group Co and Guizhou Shouyang Enterprise Management Co, located in Guizhou's provincial capital Guiyang, were recently selected as national leading enterprises for agricultural industrialization.

Enterprises selected for the title should run major operations in the production, processing or circulation of agricultural products, and have an independent legal personality.

The enterprises also need to have agricultural product sales revenue that makes up more than 70 percent of total sales revenue, more than 50 million yuan ($7.82 million) in total assets in West China, more than 20 million yuan in fixed assets and 60 million yuan of annual sales revenue.

So far, Guiyang Agricultural Investment Development Co has implemented 89 poverty alleviation projects in Guizhou's 36 counties and was honored as a national outstanding company for poverty alleviation in February this year.

Guizhou China-Science Agrochange Technology Group Co established China's first provincial professional trade market for artificially-grown edible mushrooms with Guiyang Agricultural Products Logistics Development Co.

In 2020, the market provided 2,000 jobs and helped 20,000 families increase their household earnings.

Guizhou Shouyang Enterprise Management Co is a large private company. It was selected as Guizhou's leading enterprise for agricultural industrialization in 2020 and as one of Guizhou's top 100 brands in 2021.

Guiyang and Guian New Area have accelerated the modern agriculture industry management system relying on leading agricultural enterprises. In 2020, Guiyang and Guian were home to 148 leading agricultural enterprises above municipal level, including eight at national level and 96 at provincial level.

The enterprises have 49.36 billion yuan in combined total assets, 12.14 billion yuan of fixed assets, 28.91 billion yuan of output value, 21.61 billion yuan of annual sales revenue, and 2.44 billion yuan of annual profits after tax. They also pay a total of 1.27 billion yuan in annual taxes.

The group of companies has helped 2.39 million families increase their household income.
