Li Bingjun, governor of Southwest China's Guizhou province, paid an official visit to the capital city of Guiyang on Oct 12 to investigate the reform and development of local State-owned enterprises.
He emphasized that it was necessary to develop a more pragmatic and meticulous style to implement the three-year action plan for State-owned enterprise reform, fully promote the high-quality development of State-owned enterprises, as well as provide strong support for the high-quality development of the province.
At the Guiyang Cigarette Factory of China Tobacco Industry Co, he listened to reports on the production and sales of the company and urged the company to fully tap its potential, optimize its product structure and improve the quality and efficiency of its development.
The governor next toured the exhibition hall and production line of Guizhou Aerospace Electric Co, a backbone enterprise for electronic components in China, that integrates scientific research and production. Li inquired in detail about the company's product technology and market prospects – before encouraging it to give full play to its R&D, production and equipment, as well as to help promote military-civilian integration, expand the civilian market and extend its diversified development.
The governor also visited Guizhou Jongyang Power Heavy Industry Co, a State-owned enterprise that mainly manufactures special construction machinery. Li observed the production line, later exhorting the enterprise to further innovate products and expand its scale, based on market demand.
He emphasized that governments at all levels should give top priority to serve enterprises, thoroughly and exactingly resolve common and individual problems encountered in their development, continuously cultivate and strengthen market players, while consolidating their foundation for the region's progress.
Li added that both enterprises and localities should identify their position and role in the new development pattern.
The governor said they should give full play to the advantages of aerospace and equipment manufacturing in the province, expand the scale of support industries, as well as extend the industrial supply chain – and create a number of competitive industrial clusters so as to achieve higher quality, better efficiency and better structural development.
