The Guiyang State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission – located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – began a tour of the coastal city of Fangchenggang in China's southern Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on July 26, to explore increasing two-way trade and investment.

Accompanying Guiyang SASAC director Huang Yonghui around the region, were officials from the Fangchenggang SASAC and other interested parties.

During the visit, they visited the Urban Window Exhibition Hall and medical innovation center and learned about Fangchenggang's location advantages – the city borders Vietnam – as well as its industry layout, general business environment and development prospects.

They moved on to survey a local border cooperation industrial park and trade market in Dongxing city and learned about plans there to expand the trade in imports and exports.

Fangchenggang, as an expanding port city, also showcased to the visitors its scale, import and export volumes, warehousing and logistics facilities.

Guiyang SASAC director Huang said Fangchenggang had invaluable local knowledge which was worth learning. He urged the two sides to boost their communications and commerce.

Apart from taking advantage of Fangchenggang's dynamic port facilities, it is understood the Guiyang SASAC plans to roll out a series of measures to promote more inland projects.

During a subsequent signing ceremony, commercial deals between road transport firm Guizhou Commercial Reserve (Group) Co, Ltd and Fangchenggang Xinfu Cold Chain Co were finalized.
