Guian Municipal Landscape Co, Ltd – situated in the Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province – was recently conferred with a AAA credit rating in recognition of its highly regarded operations in the country's environmental sanitation sector, according to a report issued on Aug 2.
A State-owned subsidiary of Guian New Area Development Investment Co, the company has reportedly provided urban services since 2017. It is understood that it was the only company in the province to get AAA in the national credit rating list covering the environmental sanitation sector.
The company has to date been in charge of sanitation services covering a 12-square-kilometer section of the Guian New Area, 5.5 sq km of its green spaces, 210 kilometers of its roads and associated facilities and more than 12,000 streetlights.
In addition, a total of 90 administrative villages and over 370 natural villages have also had the benefit of its urban services.
Local residents also have the opportunity of applying for jobs within the company.
In the second half of 2020, the company received the franchise to deal with new business, including garbage disposal and urban public parking.
In recent years, the group has enjoyed strong growth, with cumulative revenue exceeding 720 million yuan ($111.38 million) and profit topping 77 million yuan.
In addition to broadening its business operations, the company has also moved to cut costs and increase efficiency.
A spokesman said the new AAA rating would boost the company's recognition, and moving forwards the company would push to develop more and better services.
