The China International Big Data Industry Expo, or Big Data Expo -- the world's first expo themed on big data -- kicked off on May 26 in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The Big Data Expo has been staged six times since 2015, with the event widely viewed as a world-class platform, serving to share the latest achievements in the big data industry.
This year's expo is being held both online and offline, with the theme: "embrace digital intelligence, deliver new development".
The online exhibition already opened to the public on May 20, featuring more than 300 exhibitors -- including local tech giants and global corporate titans like Huawei, Baidu, China Mobile, QIANXIN Technology, Quantum and Matsushita. While the on-site expo runs from May 26 to 28, involving 225 exhibitors.
Six high-level dialogues will be held during the show to discuss topics such as data security, digital services, the digitalization of industry and the role of big data in promoting rural revitalization.
The Big Data Expo will also organize forums, an Expo Release and competitions to share China's actions in leading new growth in the digital economy.
