A contingency plan for network security was recently revised by the Guiyang State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, or Guiyang SASAC – located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The contingency plan was refined and streamlined in order to guarantee the smooth operation of local information systems and networks.
In addition to coordinating the network security of companies, the plan has also set up four levels of emergencies varying from major network security incidents to general ones.
The plan calls for publicizing prevention knowledge about information security, as well for daily monitoring of potential security risks. Once emergencies are identified and monitored, effective and timely measures need to be put in place to minimize losses.
The plan also stresses that Guiyang – during important events and conferences – strengthen the monitoring of network security incidents and be prepared to deal with them promptly, with officers on duty 24 hours a day.
