Guiyang Yongqing Instruments & Electronics Science & Technology Co Ltd has recently entered a new stage of production, with its first surface mounted technology (SMT) lead-free production line now operational. The company is based in Baiyun district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The new production line is specially designed by the company for Volvo Construction Equipment (China), supporting mass production of electrical components for Volvo.
The company is a high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, manufacturing, sales and services. Following nearly 30 years of development, it has formed a product production system dominated by electronic monitoring systems for engineering machinery, automation instruments, complete sets of low-voltage electrical appliances and special intelligent control instruments.
Boasting three fully automatic SMT lines, the company mainly produces intelligent display instruments and controls for engineering machinery.
According to the company's deputy chief engineer Zhang Haixin, the instrument workshop has an manufacturing execution system (MES) production execution system, an intelligent warehouse, and digital, automated and intelligent production lines, making it a true "digital workshop". In 2020, the workshop completed half of the company's output and generated 45 percent of its total output value.
In September of last year, the company entered the supply system of Caterpillar, the world's largest engineering machinery manufacturer, marking a new stage of its international cooperation efforts.
In the first quarter of 2021, the company achieved a total industrial production value of 95.36 million yuan ($14.70 million), a year-on-year increase of 36.89 percent, and the operation revenue was 85.99 million yuan, achieving 107.48 percent of the target.
