An investigation team from the State-owned assets supervision and administration commission of Guiyang – in the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – on Nov 4 investigated a healthcare program for Alzheimer patients in the city.
Led by Huang Yonghui, Party secretary of the commission, the team visited a healthcare center being built for Alzheimer patients and got a general overview of the project, its operation planning, the layout of its functional areas and progress in interior decoration.
Huang stressed that all work should be carried out safely and attention should be paid to detail, to make conditions comfortable for the elderly.
Huang also said that priority should also be given to recruitment and training of medical staff, to provide qualified and professional services for patients.
Huang pointed out that the facility's hygiene station was important and that disinfections should be carried out regularly to prevent infectious diseases. He said that work should also be done to contact the office of public medical health to access the health insurance system, to help elderly patients resolve their payments.
